Movieléctrica is a recurring electric-mobility fair conceived and organised by Cities Forum to bring electric vehicles, the industry and the public together around the transition to clean transport. Running across several editions between 2019 and 2021, the event created an accessible showcase where citizens could encounter electric mobility first-hand and where manufacturers, dealers and institutions could demonstrate technology, share knowledge and build the market.
Our approach
Cities Forum organised the fair end to end, from overall event management to the curation of the programme and speakers, and sustained it through a network of sponsors. Across its editions Movieléctrica drew the participation of the major car brands through their regional dealerships (including Renault, Nissan, Peugeot, Citroën, Opel and Volkswagen partners) alongside marketing and mobility partners, reflecting the firm's ability to convene the automotive and mobility ecosystem around a shared sustainability agenda. The event combined vehicle exhibition with a programme of talks and content designed to inform and engage a general audience.
What we delivered
The fair also proved adaptable. The 2020 edition pivoted to an online format delivered via video conferencing when in-person gatherings were not possible, while later in-person editions returned with full on-site organisation, including practical arrangements such as medical support. Movieléctrica additionally served as a showcase for wider mobility work: the EU USER-CHI electromobility project, in which Cities Forum participated, was featured at the 2021 edition, linking the local fair to European innovation.
Impact
Through Movieléctrica, Cities Forum demonstrated its capacity to create and sustain its own public-facing mobility platform, building awareness of electric mobility, connecting industry with citizens, and reinforcing the firm's presence in the Murcia region's innovation and sustainability scene. It stands as an example of Cities Forum acting not only as a consultant to others' initiatives, but as an originator and organiser of events that move the sustainable-mobility agenda forward in its own right.
