MOVEA Mobility Platform & Observatory, Riba-roja de Turia

Year: 2025–2026  |  Client: Ayuntamiento de Riba-roja de Túria (Valencia)  |  Country: Spain (Comunidad Valenciana)

Under its MOVEA brand, Cities Forum designed and delivered a live mobility platform and observatory for the municipality of Riba-roja de Túria, giving the city a permanent, data-driven instrument to understand and manage how people move through and stay in the municipality. Deployed as a hosted web application, the platform turns dispersed mobility and tourism data into clear, continuously updated dashboards for municipal decision-makers.

Our approach

The engagement was structured as a full set of deliverables, from an initial graphic-interface proposal and methodology through the platform build itself, end-user training and successive analytical modules. Cities Forum combined big-data mobility feeds from telecommunications providers with indicators supplied directly by the municipality, and complemented them with a dedicated social-media analytics module, so that the observatory captures not only physical movement but also the digital footprint and perception of the destination. Thematic dashboards were developed for two complementary domains: urban and tourism mobility (flows, origins-destinations, seasonality) and social networks (reach, engagement, sentiment), each accessible from a curated home of direct-access indicators.

What we delivered

Delivery followed a disciplined cadence, with monthly progress reports issued from December 2025 onward and a structured training programme (capacitación) supported by a platform user manual, ensuring municipal staff could operate the system autonomously. The design work, wireframes, interface principles and branded content, including social assets for the municipality's channels, gave the tool a coherent, professional identity aligned with the city's communication.

Impact

The result equips Riba-roja de Túria with a modern mobility observatory that supports evidence-based planning, monitors the impact of mobility and tourism measures, and communicates results transparently to stakeholders and citizens. As one of several MOVEA platforms Cities Forum has deployed for Valencian municipalities, it demonstrates the firm's capacity to move from mobility analysis to fully operational digital products, combining telco big data, municipal indicators and social-media intelligence in a single, maintainable system that a mid-sized town can genuinely use day to day.
